The Haunting of Penni Cooper Chapter 3

            " AHHH, Mikey!!! Let go of her!!!" That was the first noise that awoke Penni. She rushed down the stairs overlooking the loft where Anique slept, it was empty. "Mom! What's wrong? Is Anique okay?" Penni drowned her mother in questions. "Micheal is pulling Anique's hair...hard" Sally looked horrified. "Let me take Mikey out for a walk- you know to cool him off a bit."  Penni knew it was a risk but she dared to take it. "Okay,be back in time for lunch Hansen is coming over to play with Mikey.." She stared at Micheal "..If he BEHAVES" She practically said it loud enough for the whole neighborhood to hear. " Hansen can help me sharpen the knife I'm gonna use on you!" Micheal said happily. Mom screamed, she hated the word knife. " That is IT!" Penni dragged Micheal outside and into the woods that led into Toad Lake. " Micheal Thomas Cooper that was the LAST straw you stop this insane behavior now or else mum is gonna lock you up!" Penni stared hard into Micheal's cold eyes and felt as if she had entered an Arctic storm. " Inside the dump" Penni stamped her foot and headed back into the large woods. "Locket, locket, where's mum's pocket down the lake? Will she die from a snake? Get baked? Who knows? Maybe Penni. Will they die from any? Maybe yes maybe no but for sure they'll get choked." Micheal said as he lowered toward Sally's bed. "Micheal!!! Penni!!! AHHHHH!!" Sally rolled out of Micheal's armed hand. Knife. Penni rushed in to the bedroom seeing Mikey with a deadly weapon in his hand. " Mikey!" Penni screeched.

The Haunting of Penni Cooper Chapter 2

                           Penni watched her brother, Michael, stagger down the stairs. "Mother!!!!!!!!!!" Penni yelled. Her mom ran to her and shook her arm while saying, " Honey? What's the matter? Huh?" Her mother stared at the tall, motionless girl staring out into space. "Oh no, no, no, no." Her mother ferociously shook her arm looked at her helpless daughter, her face was bright blue. Sally dropped Penni on the ground and preformed CPR on her. "MICHAEL!!!" She screeched she turned her head to see the smiling face of her son looking so evil. He closed his eyes and rested. Penni awoke gasping for air like she had been trapped underwater for a long time. "MOM..mother I-I-.." Penni gasped for air and rushed into her mother's arms." Michael, you insolent beast! How could you?!" Penni sputtered. " Come on Penni," Her mom turned to the door and walked Penni into it "So what's up with you and Michael?" Her mom asked anxiously. " Just today," Penni said as she sipped a glass of her mom's homemade iced tea "Michael said that he wanted to hurt you and I called you so I could warn you but.." Michael entered the room and cut Penni off. "So mom, can we go visit the cemetery?" He asked evilly. " Hon, why in the world would you want to do that?" Sally asked suspiciously. " To pick out a grave for you and Penni!" Michael said. " Michael I have had enough of you and your demonic attitude so stop." Mom said. " I can do things." Michael said evilly " Like what Mikey?" Mom asked sweetly. Just then Mom's gold antique plate fell off of its shelf."Like bring the devil into this house" Michael said. Penni gasped in horror as he left the room in such force, that everything in his path shattered to the ground. " You were saying something about Mi- you know who." Mom said "Oh right,so he said he was going to hurt you so I called you to warn you but he stared at me- a very evil and demonic stare I just...just went black." Penni sighed to herself wondering what has her little brother Mikey gotten into.

The Haunting of Penni Cooper Chapter 1

          Dashing into the mini-van, Penni Cooper wrapped her shawl around herself. "Penni! Come out of there and help put Anique in to her car seat!" Sally Cooper, Penni's mom, yelled. Penni grumbled to herself and stepped out of the van. " Anique, ANIQUE!! Hon, where are you?" Penni walked behind the house and into the backyard. All the backyard was, was weeds, dead grass and hills. Ms. Cooper dared not to plant anything because of the fact that their backyard was a cemetery. Penni stopped to grab Anique but, she walked away from her grasp " Mom!!!!" Penni pulled out Anique's favorite toy " Coochie coochie coo!" she said. Anique ran to her and Penni grabbed her and slid her into her car seat. "Okay kids lets roll!" Her mother said as they pulled out of the driveway. " So, mom where's our house?" Penni asked " Baltimore, you know where that amusement park is? It's about two to three miles away from our house, you two could bike there and hang out!" Penni looked at her brother. " So not happening mom! That park is like for... old people!" Michael kicked at the seat. " Michael, honey, just because we're moving doesn't give you the right to be in a sour mood all day, now sweeten up or you're going to have to stay in your room for supper tonight!" Mom snapped. As they parked next to the moss- filled curb, Michael, Penni, Anique and Sally stepped out into the chilly winter day. "This is it!" Mom's face filled with eagerness and anxiousness at the same time. " sweet!" Michael grumbled sarcastically " Michael!" Mom said in a scornful voice. Penni leaped inside and hopped up the stairs. " So this is what you call a house?" Michael's voice seemed deeper and hateful. "Michael! Whew you scared me!" Penni said nervously " I'm going to hurt her, hurt her real bad." Michael's voice was as deep as her father's. "Michael! I knew you'd be upset but not like this! What has gotten into you?" Penni suddenly felt frightened and loaned for her mother. " Who are you going to hurt Michael?" Penni asked in a shaky voice. " Mother, I want to hurt Mother."
